APPRENTICESHIP SUMMER PROGRAM
During the five week summer program, apprentices work under the mentoring guidance of professional artists who serve as role models and help them to experience art as a realistic profession or course of study. On the first day of the program, apprentices are assigned to commission projects based on a combination of their own interests and the Creative Director's recommendations based on submitted portfolios.
Apprentices learn important transferable employment skills while pursuing artistic excellence. Learning areas include: design, problem solving, creative thinking, collaboration, negotiation, meeting deadlines, client presentation, speaking skills, and timely completion of projects.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Young artists submit a portfolio that represents their best work for review, along with an application form that includes a brief statement of purpose. Professional artists review the portfolios and select those that demonstrate talent and dedication to developing arts careers or study. Chosen applicants receive a $500 scholarship for completing the Summer Program.
