Artstart lead artists manage individual commissions, creating, directing, and delegating to their assigned apprentices and any assistant lead artists working on the project.

​

Lead artists are responsible for the overall quality of design and execution of their assigned job, including all communication with the client and making sure that their vision is being realized.

​

Most importantly, lead artists are responsible for the mentorship of their apprentices, who will be learning professional art practice through their involvement in the completion of the commission.

If you are interested in working collaboratively with other artists, imparting your artistic wisdom on a younger generation of creatives, and love the daily problem solving that goes into executing large-scale installations, please email us at info@artstart.us with your interest and experience in both art and working with teens.

Teaching artists are hired as contractors during sessions to teach a particular style or medium to apprentices and youth interns, usually over one or two weeks. Please contact us at info@artstart.us for more information.
