How your gift helps
Sponsor an apprentice
Artstart’s apprenticeship program is a mentorship-based arts experience for youth ages 14–21. Participants develop their skills with professional Lead Artists while contributing to community arts projects.
Each apprentice receives a stipend to support their participation in the program.

$300 — Sponsor one four-week apprenticeship

$600 — Sponsor one eight-week apprenticeship

$900 — Sponsor three four-week apprenticeships

$1,200 — Sponsor two eight-week apprenticeships
Sponsorship funds currently go directly to participating youth as stipends.
General fund and program support
General Fund gifts help sustain Artstart’s youth programs, public art projects, studio, staff, supplies, and daily operations.
Artstart relies on project commissions, grants, sponsorships, and individual donations. Unrestricted contributions allow us to use funds where they are needed most.

Our program, equipment, and facility needs change throughout the year. Current needs may include:

Please call us at (707) 546-2345 before making a gift designated for a particular need. This allows us to confirm that the need is current and that Artstart can accept and use the contribution as intended.
Fundraisers and events
Artstart hosts fundraisers, art sales, exhibits, and other events throughout the year. Our signature fundraiser, Fresh Paint, features silent and live auctions, art, local experiences, and opportunities to support our youth arts programming.
Proceeds help support Artstart’s programs and operations, including staff, studio expenses, marketing, youth apprenticeships, and ArtClub.
In-kind donations
Artstart accepts select supplies and materials that can be used in our current programming and studio operations. Please call (707) 546-2345 before bringing or delivering an in-kind donation.
Art supplies:
Acrylic paint, quality brushes, tracing paper, black Sharpies, and other frequently used materials
Paint:
Durable exterior house paint suitable for public mural projects
Operations:
Paper towels, clean rags, plastic storage boxes with lids, and clear storage containers
Gift cards:
Ace Hardware, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Staples, Target, Sherwin-Williams, Nova Color, and other art or hardware suppliers
Mosaic materials
Artstart currently has an abundance of mosaic materials and cannot accept additional tile, ceramic, or glass scraps at this time. Please call to confirm before dropping off mosaic materials.
