Maria de Los Angeles

Maria de Los Angeles is a Mexican-born American artist whose vibrant work explores migration, identity, and belonging through drawing, painting, printmaking, public art, and wearable sculpture. A Santa Rosa native and Santa Rosa Junior College alumna, she has exhibited nationally at museums and arts institutions including LACMA, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Museum of Sonoma County, and the Schneider Museum of Art. Her public art can be seen throughout Sonoma County and beyond, including murals at Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital, Santa Rosa Junior College, and Luther Burbank Center for the Arts. She is currently a Critic and Assistant Director of Graduate Studies in Painting and Printmaking at the Yale School of Art.
